2025 Impact Scholarships will be allocated to underrepresented groups in the tech industry, specifically Māori, Pasifika and non-male students who face financial barriers during recruitment season or when entering their first tech job.

Impact Scholarships are intended to remove barriers from your job hunt. You could use this funding for:

• Travel or childcare costs to attend Summer of Tech recruitment events

• Equipment or data to participate in online learning and events

• Costs for professional memberships, industry conferences, or extra training courses

• Clothing or footwear for interviews or your first tech job

• Relocation costs if you need to move for an internship or job

• Any other costs that are barriers to participating fully in your qualification or recruitment events
  

⚠️ Note: Impact Scholarships are NOT intended to cover your course fees while studying. Applications that request course fee support will not be progressed.

✅ Share your story – tell us why this support would make a difference in your journey
✅ Include cost details – e.g. estimates or quotes for travel, equipment, or other expenses
✅ Be honest – we are here to support you; your circumstances matter
❌ Do not submit an AI-generated application - it’s super obvious when many applications sound the same and this reduces your chances of being chosen. We want to hear your real, authentic story.

• Monday 28 July – Applications open. An email will be sent to all eligible candidates at 12pm.

• Wednesday 6 August – Applications close at 5pm.

• Thursday 7 & Friday 8 August – Our team will carefully review applications.

• Monday 11 August – Decision emails will be sent by 12pm.
