Their talented technology recruiters, Bruce Batters, Chelsea Wallace and Lee-Anne Thomson shared their insights and discussed strategies for acing an internship or graduate placement.

Earlier this year, Aura Information Security hosted a ‘Security 101’ bootcamp presented by their Security team: Phil Dobson, Alastair Miller, Lachlan Davidson, and Joanna Mañez. The team educated students on the responsibilities, career possibilities and perks of a career in security.

How do we actually process and analyse the feedback that’s given to us so we can effectively learn from it? In this bootcamp, Marcus and Jemimah from Pushpay delved into the importance of knowing how to give and receive feedback and offered some tips and tricks on how to do so.

We met with Miten Chauhan, an Intermediate Software Developer and Sales Engineer from SaferMe who also happens to be Summer of Tech alumni from 2016 and 2017. He shared how he’s grown in the tech industry, what he learnt from being a mentor, what his mentees taught him and gave advice on entering the field.
